This is the hymn for the keeper within
Not for the one you praise
Not for the word of my kin
This is the chant for the broken land
Which we forgot to protect
Which we forgot to defend
Earth shaker will rise.
Cleansing us through the tides
Purging off the human bodies
To replenish the poisoned sea.
Drown us rats with your waves of wisdom.
We have forgotten our roots to life.
Too much time wasted on religion, wasted on regrets
Fucking lies or is it true? We don't know but half of it.
Take our time and use it wisely, think of every choice we make
Learning from the mistakes along the way.
Earth shaker.
Surface to reclaim, restore.
Bred to destroy and to consume.
That's all we've ever known.
Fooled by the decoys, mind toyed,
in a war with our own conscious thinking
Loss of real sight in our blind minds
Will we ever better for the sake of life
Look to the sky all that you please, but know the answers within.
The answers within the minds of every individual
We are the weapon causing our world to be a living hell
We must be punished to understand true human nature
We must be punished by the wrath of our true master
Earth shaker
Let your pure waves lead this race through a mental transformation
Executing everyone and everything that defies you, defies the world
We are blind to the truth.
Truth is, it's all our fault.
Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson
Two impressive vocalists, variable and skilled guitarists and a tight and very powerful rhythm section. That plus the ability to write a song really leaves nothing left to desire here. mourner
